Your Silence

Your silence is louder
Than any shreik of fury,

Your stare is colder
Than a faceless judge and jury;

Your stillness.... I shiver
You don't seem to blink,

My breath is dealt faster
And slowly begins to shrink;

I plead for one more
Your lips resist acquittal,

My eyes stream apology
Your brow starts to belittle;

These knees are bleeding
Your nose steals the scent,

My hands clasp in mercy
Your chin denies me consent;

Please take me, entirely
You finally choose to rise,

At last you will avenge---
Why are you closing your eyes?
