The sum total of what has become " Waiting Wraith " was written over a period of three years, 1992 to 1995. Living through it seemed to be much longer.

Addition, dear reader, is detrimental not only to the person clutched in its unmerciful hand. The pressure its grip exerts is felt by all those around, all those close. These poems were written to release some of that pressure, to clear some space to breathe and think.... the mind can only contain so many unanswerable questions or fathom irrational actions. These poems tried to find stability, if not by quenching confusing thirsts then by displaying in full view illogical manuvers, trans- lating them in a way that would render them defenseless, thereby making them easier to decipher. My sister was this living hieroglyphic.

Any pleasure derived from compiling this collection has been in the unraveling of some of the mysteries. When I found the poems to have some kind of chronology I decided to put them into that.

The experiences within are not unique: if any feelings of familiarity eminate from this, welcome, and know you are not powerless and alone....

If the reader is devoid of this, either you are very fortunate; Or perhaps you are not looking hard enough....
