The Children [ part II ]
Children must finish the fights
Started by their mothers & fathers
No matter why it ever began;
Children must always polish up
The images of mothers & fathers
No matter how dull the shine,
Children must always wade through
The waters of their mothers & fathers
No matter how vast the brine;
Children are living scrapbooks
With unchangable pages....
Children are the disciples
Of fraudulent sages....
Children are the billboards
That echo through the ages:
Children are not to fault
If we call all of these cages....
Children must heed the advice
Told by their mothers & fathers
No matter how wrong it appears,
Children must speak glowingly
About the lives of mothers & fathers
No matter how many will sneer;
Children must always become
Another version of mothers & fathers
No matter how much they change,
Children will do all the things
Their mothers & fathers have done
No matter how vile or strange....
Children are living scrapbooks
With unchangable pages....
Children are the disciples
Of fraudulent sages....
Children are the billboards
That echo through the ages:
Children are not to fault
If we call all of these cages.
