A lot of readers of poetry can be critical. Some can be downright intense
in their criticisms. The only thing a poetry critic can't be is an
authority. There is no right or wrong when it comes to poetry only truth
and untruth. A poet can be an authority on his or her own work but even
then you still come across a few poets who are confused about their
craft. They ask questions like "Where did this come from?" "Why did I
write this?" The poetry you are about to read is from a man who is an
authority. An authority on his own work. He could tell you what and
where and why he wrote the poems he did. This is very unnatural but at
the same time refreshing. Refreshing because I have followed his talent
from the first day. I have read all his material, I have listened to his
poetry tapes, I have decided which poems I have liked the best. I also
watched him cleanse his conscience and save his soul. He has made me an
authority on his poetry. I have warmed my views on poetry to appreciate
his style and insight and even though I have settled in to a form of
being comfortable rest assured Ralph Carusillo will never settle. This
web page is a monumental breakthrough for the author but believe you
me......the best is yet to come.
