Happiness and Pain

Happiness and pain
Share an umbrella
In the rain,
Notes they compare
And they reminisce
About despair;
One talks of smiles and laughs
Falsely displayed,
One talks of tears and screams
Forcibly conveyed;
They both reflect on the clouds,
The thunderclap plays very loud--
This sound echoes....
This sound echoes
Through their ears,
Each being reminded
Of similar fears:
Both worry about their demise,
A moment they lustily despise;
Their places become estranged--
Their places become exchanged.
In the rain,
Notes they compare
And they reminisce
About despair;
One talks of smiles and laughs
Falsely displayed,
One talks of tears and screams
Forcibly conveyed;
They both reflect on the clouds,
The thunderclap plays very loud--
This sound echoes....

Each being reminded
Of similar fears:
Both worry about their demise,
A moment they lustily despise;
Their places become estranged--
Their places become exchanged.
