A Classic Case of Confusion
( Leading to Regrettable Decisions )

Why did you have to come on so strong
Did you really have to carry on that long,
Didn't you stop to think what's really wrong:
The problem could be with yourself.

You came to me in a time of need
Never once did I force the deed,
Now all of these vicious words you feed:
Maybe you should use them for yourself.

Said you weren't happy with your last
Thought you'd want that in the past,
But these indignations you casually cast:
They could also be told about yourself.

Thought that the times would change
That your life needed to be rearranged,
Then you tear into me so deranged:
Think it's time to look at yourself.

That man who's suppose to care so much
Doused you with romance, then left you in dutch,
You looked around for another arm to clutch:
Because you're too weak to help yourself.

Never again, you've had your one chance
No calls or letters, not even a glance,
You had a partner once for this dance:
Well, all you have now is yourself.

Don't blame me for you being so confused
Not my fault you've been mentally abused,
My hand was out but you refused:
You can blame all this on yourself.

Life will go on for me, no looking back
Your life's in the red, mine's in the black,
My future's wide open and on the riqht track:
You have to spend forever with yourself.
