I Am Alone

Eyes upon me in wonder
Faces I’ve never known
Each, though, are familiar
Their stares won’t leave me alone

Beyond their comprehension
Beyond their wildest dreams
A fierce battle is being waged
And they’ll never know what it means

Their minds shouldn’t know
Their ignorance is pure bliss
The horrors my mind holds
They should never know any of this

I am alone in my journey
I am alone in my illusion
I am alone in my prison
I am left alone with my confusion
