Imagine This

Crimson ribbons of slightly different hues
Flow from bodies that paid their dues
For the mindless leader’s wanderlust;
In his calliope brain this was just.

Will the sacrifice of willing pawns
Be worth this dreamy, utopian dawn?
Imagine this vision after the sun has shone:
A field infinite with sculpted, chiseled stone.
