One of my favorite programs for the NR-70 is YiShow Explorer. This program serves as a launcher, file manager, doc reader, and image viewer, and is pretty inexpensive. It supports the NR-70 full-screen, with the ability to hide the virtual graffiti. You can get YiShow here.

One of the nice things about YiShow is the ability to set a background image. There are some requirements for the image to work, however. In version 4.5 or higher, it must be a .bmp, .jpg, or .pgp, with dimensions of 320x480. In earlier versions, you are limited to 256-color bitmaps. There are a couple of tips on creating your own backgrounds at the bottom of this page.

To set images as backgrounds, copy them to your memory stick. Navigate to the directory in YiShow. Tap and hold on the file name. In the menu that comes up, choose BackImage.

Making your own backgrounds
You can use just about any image editing program. I use Paint Shop Pro.
Take the image you want to use,and crop or resize it to 320x480. This works best with an image that is already this size or larger. Most images will look better cropped, rather than resized. Save the image as a JPEG or bitmap.

Once you've created the image, move it to the Clie and install as described at the top of this page.
